Our Team.

Our team consists of numerous healthcare providers and innovators who have personally witnessed the vicious toll that immobility has taken on their patients and family members. Inspired to find a solution to finally put an end to this avoidable cycle, we are fully committing our expertise and experience towards this problem.

Dr. Neil Jairath is the CEO and co-founder of Bedside Bike. He graduated #1 in his medical school class at the University of Michigan. He has won multiple distinctions and research awards and published over 20 peer-reviewed research articles in major international journals.

Brian Sabino is the CTO and co-founder of Bedside Bike. He graduated summa cum laude from the University of Notre Dame and brings 6 years of robotics and engineering experience. He was the former lead systems engineer for DMC Automation and Integration.

Dr. Vartan Pahalyants is a graduate of Harvard University with both MD and MBA degrees. He was the president of his medical school class and the MD/MBA association. He is also the author of numerous publications, including clinical trials in human subjects.

Monil Patel is a biochemist and the former global marketing manager at Visby Medical, Qiagen. He led commercial and product teams in the diagnostics and life science industries. He also orchestrated the successful exit of Parsagen (a medical device) in 2018.

Shriya Jayswal is a seasoned RN who graduated from the University of Illinois in Chicago. She has been recognized for innovative and successful quality improvement efforts as well as clinical excellence at multiple hospital systems, including the Veterans Affairs (VA) Hospital.

Dr. Lance Black is an ex-Air Force physician with deep medical device expertise. He is currently the Senior Associate Dean of Innovation and Strategic Projects at Enmed, Co-Founder/CMO of XN Health, as well as advisor to multiple medical device startups.

Jeff Bohnen, MD, MBA

Dr. Jeff Bohnen is a graduate of the University of Michigan with both MD and MBA degrees. He has worked with multiple healthcare startups. Most recently, he served as director of strategic planning for a medical rehab device company that successfully secured NIH funding. Prior to beginning medical training, he launched several clinical trials.
